Robert Madgett

Former Hastings resident, Robert K. Madgett, 67, of Meridian, Idaho, died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at St. Alphonsus Regional Center, Boise, Idaho.

Rosary will be Thursday, January 15, 2004; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 16, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Robert K. Madgett was born September 27, 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Donald M. & Natalie (Sauvain) Madgett. He graduated from Central High School, Omaha, Nebraska in 1954 and from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa in 1958. He married Joan Horan on June 11, 1960 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He was a former sports editor for the Hastings Dailey Tribune from 1958-1963. He later was vice president of airport property for Hertz Rent-A- Car Company, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho.

Robert K. Madgett was preceded in death by his parents.
