Robert Nelson

Robert Dean Nelson, 74, of 206 Clay Ave., Inland, Nebraska, died Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Saturday, December 9, 2000; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hale officiating. Interment will be in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska at a later date.

Robert Dean Nelson was born August 19, 1926 in Elyria, Nebraska to John & Anna (Anderson) Nelson. He served in the United States Coast Guard - Merchant Marines from June 15, 1943 to August 15, 1945. After his discharge, he moved to Hastings, Nebraska and then lived in Inland, Nebraska for the last 40 years. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad from 1948 until his retirement in 1988. On October 14, 1960, he married Shirley (Rosenau) Nass in Ord, Nebraska.

Robert Dean Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Nisson - Show Low, AZ, Liz Pishna - Santa Ynez, CA; Brother,Myron Nelson - Kingsburg, CA; Sister: Shirley Anderson - Lakeland, FL; 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren
