Robert Perry

Hastings resident, Robert B. 'Bob' Perry, 76, of 1723 West 4th Street, died Friday, August 17, 2007 at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, August 22, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, August 20, 2007; 9AM-9PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2007; 9AM-9PM with family present 7PM-9PM at the funeral home & Wednesday, August 22, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Morrison Cancer Center, Mary Lanning Hospice or First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Perry was born December 1, 1930 in Hastings, Nebraska to Charles. S. & Marjorie (Shreve) Perry. He grew up in Hastings, graduating from Hastings Senior High School in 1948. He was employed by the Hastings Tribune from June 1, 1947 to August 31, 1994, retiring after 47 years. Bob married Ruth (Theesen) of Hastings at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church on July 20, 1953. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Eagles Aerie 592, National Rifle Association, American Legion, AARP, Hastings Museum and Adams County Historical Society.

Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Charlene Nowka and one granddaughter, April Dawn Perry.
