Hastings resident, Robert "Bob" Francis Rader, 85, of 1248 Arapahoe, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Sunday, February 14, 2010; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 15, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2010; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, February 14, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.
Bob was born June 26, 1924 in Trumbull, Nebraska to Myron & Agnes (Fraiser) Rader. He graduated from Trumbull High School in 1941. On May 1, 1957 he married Dorothy Jean Kehn in Hastings. He spent most of his life in the Trumbull area farming, and they moved to Hastings in 2002. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Bob was a devoted family man, devout Catholic, and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Schmidt, Carleen Bieck, and Janet Soucie.
