Robert Snarr

Hastings resident, Robert E. Snarr, 87, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at VA Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery Columbarium, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family's choice, c/o Bill Bye, 120 East 70th, Hastings, Nebraska 68901. Book signing will be Friday, February 15, 2013; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Saturday, February 16, 2013; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Robert was born June 25, 1925 on a farm near Inland, Nebraska to Pascal & Bertha (Dieckmann) Snarr. He graduated from Inland High School in Inland, Nebraska. Robert served with the U.S. Marine Corps from August 17, 1945 until August 29, 1946. He married Corrine M. Sthay on January 27, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada; she preceded him in death on June 23, 2007. He worked as a mechanic for Hughes Aircraft in California for many years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Corrine M. Snarr; three sisters; and three brothers.
