Rochelle Dixon-Jones

Hastings resident, Rochelle Sheree Dixon-Jones, 42, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her home after a three year battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 30, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family.

Rochelle was born October 7, 1971 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jimmy R. & Katherine Jean (Potter) Dixon and was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Lincoln. She graduated from Kearney Senior High in 1989, received her Bachelor's Degree in social work from University of Nebraska Kearney in 1995, and received her Master's Degree in social work from University of Nebraska Omaha in 2006. Rochelle married Patrick Jones on September 2, 1998 in Republican City, Nebraska. She worked at Good Samaritan Village and Hastings Regional Center from 1998 until 2014. Rochelle's time at the Hastings Regional Center was spent helping clients with mental health issues and setting up services for them as they left the hospital, she loved working with them. Once she had received her Master's Degree in social work, she worked with chemically dependent youth and she loved working with the youth as well. Rochelle was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
