Rodney Kent Johnson

Upland resident Rodney Kent Johnson, 69, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home. 

Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 28, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplin John Mueller officiating. There will be no burial at this time. There will also be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Rodney was born August 12, 1955, in Grand Island, NE to Kenneth L. and Frankie J. (Gehm) Johnson. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1973 and attended college. Rodney married Debra Soucie on June 17, 1978; she preceded him in death on April 3, 2023. He worked as an automobile technician. 

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Johnson; and sister & brother-in-law, Sandra & Delton Shaw.
