Rodney Manske

Axtell resident, Rodney Richard Manske, 78, died Friday, November 20, 2009, at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings.

Services are Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery near Ayr. There will be no visitation, the remains were cremated. Memorials may be given to Bethphage Mission of Axtell or Zion Lutheran Church of Hastings.

Rodney was born December 24, 1930, on the family farm near Ayr, Nebraska to Henry and Freda (Placke) Manske, Sr. Being special, he spent his life with his parents on the farm and in Hastings. After their deaths, he moved to Bethphage Mission at Axtell, Nebraska where he enjoyed his new home and community.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother.
