Rogene Rainforth

Hastings resident, Rogene A. Rainforth, 73, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, July 22, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Tony Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Rogene A. Rainforth Memorial Fund for a memorial to be established.

Rogene was born October 7, 1937 in Hastings, Nebraska to Lester & Evelyn (Hines) Laux. She graduated from Hastings High School. Rogene married Charles Rainforth on November 9, 1956 at First United Methodist Church in Hastings, Nebraska. She worked at Allen's as an executive secretary for 45 years. Rogene was a member of First United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare and was a past member of the Lamplighters. She enjoyed playing bridge, Saturday morning breakfast with her friends, and spending time with her family. Rogene very much enjoyed attending and supporting her grandchildren's and nephew's sporting and school activities.

Rogene was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bonnie Busboom and Charlene Warnke; and brother, Dale Laux.
