Hastings resident, Roger L. Adler, 70, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at his home after a long battle with mesothelioma.
Rosary will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010; 7:30 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 10, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the family.
Roger was born January 30, 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry & Edna (Adler) Adler. He graduated from Hastings High School; and graduated from Central Community College with an industrial education degree. Roger worked for Dutton Lainson for 36 years. On March 15, 1964 he married Grace Griffith at Rosedale Catholic Church. He was a scout leader in Hastings for 25 years and was admired by all his scouts. Roger's hobbies included fishing, woodworking, NASCAR racing, and Nebraska football. His grandchildren filled his life with joy and laughter.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
