Rolland Williams

August 5, 1933 — March 28, 1954

Hastings resident, Rolland 'Butch' Williams, 70, of 1105 Jefferson, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, December 20, 2003; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Karges officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rolland 'Butch' Williams was born August 5, 1933 in Fairfield, Nebraska to Frank & Berniece (Lewis) Williams. He moved with his family at the age of one to Harvard, Nebraska and attended Harvard School. He began moving homes with his father in 1946. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from January 15, 1955 until March 22, 1957. He married Lucille J. Weaver on March 28, 1954 and she preceded him in death on September 9, 1985. Williams Brothers began as a company in 1961 until 1981. Then with his son, Alan, in 1982, started Williams & Son Moving Company. He was a secretary for Midwest House Movers Associating for many years. He was a life long area resident.

Rolland 'Butch' Williams was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lucille.
