She was born on August 8, 1928 to Russell and Musa Turner Brown at Trumbull (at home).

Roma graduated from Trumbull High School in 1945 and from Hastings College with a B.A. Degree and majors in Mathematics and Chemistry in 1950. She earned an MS Degree in Medical Technology at Temple University in Philadelphia in 1974.

Professional positions include six years as a medical technologist at Dundee Medical Clinic in Omaha followed by 14 years at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital, Omaha as an instructor, supervisor and chief technologist. Roma was the national president of the American Society of Medical Technology (ASMT) from 1969-1970. As President she assumed the responsibility for the guidance of the anti-trust legal suit that the ASMT had filed to foster the rights of medical technologists and to serve as the national spokesman for ASMT. A career highlight was to be called by Senator Phillip Hart to testify on the problem of the high cost of hospitalization in 1970. In 1994 she changed careers and became a tax advisor at H&R Block until 2010.

Roma's special interests included lettering in four sports at Hastings College and ice dance skating. She was an avid fan of the Cornhuskers plus the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Photography interests led her into a small business of aerial photography and later, after a minor plane crash, into "ground" photography with children and animals her specialty.

Roma was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Brown Snoberger; and a beloved nephew, David Snoberger.
