Roman J. Allison, 70, of 414 East 9th Street, Hastings, Nebraska died Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2001; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Private family interment. There will be no viewing, Mr. Allison was cremated.
Roman J. Allison was born October 30, 1931 in Wahoo, Nebraska. He graduated from Omaha Tech High School in 1948. He served in the Marines from August 23, 1950 until January 24, 1954 during the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He married Felice A. Reandeau on April 11, 1959 at Holdrege, Nebraska. They came to Hastings in 1968 moving from Holdrege. He was a postal clerk for the United States Post Office, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the APWU (American Postal Workers Union) and the VFW.
