Hastings resident, Ronald E. Caddy, 76, of 316 Sunset Dr., died Friday, January 23, 2004 at his home.
Services will be Wednesday, January 28, 2004; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Randy Madison officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Caddy was born November 9, 1927 in Ansley, Nebraska to William H. 'Mike' & Iola V. (Oxford) Caddy. He attended public county schools in Dunning and also in Broken Bow, Ansley and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1948. He married Dorothy J. Ruzicka in 1949 and later divorced. After a tour of duty with the Army Air Corps, he was recalled into the service in 1951 and remained in the Air Force until 1969. He then worked for Kansas-Nebraska Energy as a right-of-way agent for 20 years, retiring in 1990. In 1984, he married Gerry Lou (Scheuneman) Miller and she preceded him in death on July 25, 1996. He was a member of the V.F.W., Air Force Sergeants Association, the Retired Enlisted Association, Aircraft Owner's Pilots Association.
Mr. Caddy was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gerry Lou and a sister, Wanda Fogelson.
