Ronald Donner

Hastings resident, Ronald G. "Ronnie" Donner, 59, passed away, Saturday, October 26, 2013, at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Steven Peeler officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2013; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, October 29, 2013; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ron was born February 15, 1954, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Marvin & Dorothy (Bernstrauch) Donner. He graduated from Windside High School in 1972 and he moved to Hastings in 1973. Ron married Bonnie Archer in 1980 and later they divorced. He worked for Western Land Roller in Hastings for 10 years and at Bruckman Rubber in Hastings for 22 years. At the time of his death he worked for Eakes in Hastings for over 25 years. Ron liked fishing, playing pool, bowling, hunting, working on cars and woodworking. He loved to watch western movies (mostly John Wayne) and his most favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren and family who loved him dearly.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon Donner and Todd Donner.
