Ronald Hofeldt

Hastings resident, Ronald Howard Hofeldt, 58, of 720 Oakmont Ave., died Tuesday morning, May 13, 2003 at BryanLGH Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Thursday, May 15, 2003; 7:30 P.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 16, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ronald Howard Hofeldt was born March 22, 1945 in Charles City, Iowa to Howard & Jeannette (Scott) Hofeldt. He graduated from Grand Island High School and attended Business College in Lincoln, Nebraska for 2 years. On January 27, 1968, he married Doris Synowski. He was an accountant for Hastings Irrigation Pipe Company for over 35 years. He was very dedicated to the baseball program in Hastings. He was the co-founder of the Hastings Indians baseball team and was proud to have started a program in which players could enjoy baseball and work at the same time. He was also the founder of a kickball league for children with disabilities. He enjoyed helping others tremendously. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where he was an acolyte, St. Michael's Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree. He was a past President of the Hastings Catholic School Board.

Ronald Howard Hofeldt was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Hofeldt.

Sister: Deanna Miller - Denver, CO

Memorial may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church or donor's choice

Thur. 5-15-03; 1pm-5pm at BVFH
Thur. 5-15-03; 6:30pm until rosary at St. Michael's
Fri. 5-16-03; 1 hr. prior to service at the church
