Ronald Shay

Former Hastings resident, Ronald E. Shay, 56, of Rt #1, Box 159, Ord, Nebraska, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002 in a semi truck accident near Palmer, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, August 23, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Ronald E. Shay was born September 28, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska to Lester & Thelma (Crawford) Shay. He grew up in Ayr, Nebraska and graduated from Blue Hill High School, Blue Hill, Nebraska in 1963. He married Mary Kay Krebsbach on January 24, 1967and they later divorced. He then married Shari Kelley in 1987 and they later divorced. He worked for Roberts Dairy for 20 years in Hastings and Grand Island, Nebraska. He moved to Central City, Nebraska and then to Ord, Nebraska. He was currently employed with Double O Trucking Company of Columbus, Nebraska. He was a past member of the Eagles and Nebraska National Guard.

Ronald E. Shay was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother, Thelma.
