Hastings resident, Ronald D. Weber, 50, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, July 16, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2011; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Friday, July 15, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Ronald D. Weber Memorial Fund.

Ronald was born August 9, 1960 in Hastings, Nebraska to Kenneth L. & Rose M. (Blau) Weber. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1979 and attended Central Community College. Ronald married Robyn Ruxton on July 11, 1981. He worked as a salesman for Phoenix Industries for 30 years and State Steel in Grand Island for seven years. Ronald was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings. He was on the Make-A-Wish Board, Midget Football Board and was commissioner; coached youth sports such as baseball, football, basketball, roller hockey, and soccer; Hastings High School booster; and was involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Ronald was the head tech inspector for Mid-Nebraska Speedway in Doniphan. He was an avid sports fan and followed his children's activities as well as his nieces and nephews. His family was the joy of his life.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth L. Weber; and step-father, Floyd Lindstrom.
