Rose Langdon

Hastings resident, Rose Mary C. Langdon, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Hazuka officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Hastings Public Library or Catholic Social Services. Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm with the family present 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Rose Mary was born January 7, 1928, in Roseland, Nebraska to A.G. "Butch" & Anna (Diederick) Bourg. She graduated from Roseland High School. Rose Mary married John Charles Langdon on November 7, 1950 who preceded her in death on September 13, 1986. She was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for Debus Bakery and Hastings Concrete Products and she also worked for Adams County during the elections.

Rose Mary was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and Altar Society. She was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer for Mary Lanning Auxiliary.

Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Charles Langdon; siblings, Roy Bourg, Margaret Kelso, Louis "Stub" Bourg, and Carol Hannum; son-in-law, Jim Rempe; and great-grandson, Evan Zucker.
