Ruth Hoffman

Hastings resident, Ruth Ann Hoffman, 90, of Goldbeck Towers, Good Samaritan Village, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion.

Rosary will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008; 9:00 A.M-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools.

Mrs. Hoffman was born November 29, 1917 to William & Ida (Frohnen) Weber in Adams County, Nebraska on a farm near Juniata. The family moved to Hastings in 1936. She married LaVane Fisk in 1938 and they later divorced. She was employed at Hastings Regional Center for 17 years, retiring in 1972. She married Walter Hoffman on March 23, 1970 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1999. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Hoffman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter, four brothers, one sister and one grandson.
