Ruth Idt

Former Hastings resident, Ruth C. Idt, 94, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at her home in Yankton, South Dakota with family at her side.

Services will be Friday, November 21, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Donald E. Boeschen officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ruth C. Idt was born on August 2, 1909 in Ong, Nebraska to Anton & Emma (Samuelson) Thurin. She graduated from Ong High School and attended Luther College in Wahoo, Nebraska. On July 5, 1940, she married George Idt in Omaha, Nebraska. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1942 where they resided until George's death in August of 2002. She moved to Yankton, South Dakota where she was lovingly cared for by her son, Gary & daughter-in-law, Karen. She remained a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings.

Ruth Idt was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, two brothers, Roy & Reynold and two nephews.

Memorial may be given to Peace Lutheran Church - Hastings, Nebraska
