Former Hastings resident, Ruth L. Meyer, 83, of 619 East Jefferson St., Morton, Illinois, died Monday, May 14, 2001 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

Private family services will be Monday, May 21, 2001 at Butler-Volland Chapel with Dr. Carl W. Utley officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ruth L. Meyer was born September 10, 1917 in Breda, Iowa to Rev. Christian & Louise (Fricke) Walter. She married Kenneth L. Meyer on June 19, 1939 in Breda, Iowa.

Ruth L. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Dorothy Christensen and Louise Walter.
