Ruth Murray

Former Hastings resident, Ruth Murray, 85, of Beverly Lakeview Healthcare, Grand Island, Nebraska, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Beverly Lakeview Healthcare.

Services will be Friday, October 22, 2004; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Deahl, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. at the Fairmont Public Cemetery, Fairmont, Nebraska.

Mrs. Murray was born October 13, 1919 in Fairmont, Nebraska to Conrad E. & Emma (Schleuning) Cook. She graduated from high school and attended college for one year.
On February 14, 1946, she married Joe Murray in North Platte, Nebraska and he preceded her in death in 1991. She moved from Geneva, Nebraska to Hastings in 1960. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a past member of Daughters of Nile, Eastern Star, O.E.S. Kensington and American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, four brothers and one sister.

Sister: Ethel Cook Beggs - CA

Memorial may be given to Shriner's Crippled Children's Fund
