Ruth Carlile Topp, 93, of Perkins Pavilion, died Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Carl Utley officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Ruth Carlile Topp was born February 6, 1907 in Lincoln, Nebraska to William A. & Lenora (Neville) Carlile. She attended Lincoln, Nebraska elementary schools and graduated from Holdrege High School, Holdrege, Nebraska. She attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln college for 2 years where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She was employed at Mortgage - Investment Company for many years in Hastings, Nebraska before moving to Washington, D.C. from 1941-1942, working for the Civil Service. On July 25, 1943, she married Tage Topp in Hastings, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was co-owner and operator of Topp's Floral Shop for over 30 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1926, P.E.O. Chapter DA, O.E.S. Acacia Chapter #39, Advisor, Job's Daughters, O.E.S. Kensington, Daughters of the Nile #108, Shriners Hospital Auxiliary, Charter Member of B.P.O. Does #112, Pythian Sisters, Y.W.C.A. and Hastings Women's Club.

Memorial maybe given to Shriners Crippled Children Transportation Fund & First Presbyterian Church, Y.W.C.A. & Hastings Museum
