Ryan Alan Wesley Herrold

With unimaginable sorrow, we share the passing of Ryan Alan Wesley Herrold, age 15. Ryan left this world far too soon on April 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and quiet strength that touched every life he encountered.

Born on June 12, 2009, Ryan was the beloved son of Jamie Weyers of Lincoln, NE, and Travis Herrold of Hastings, NE. He was also deeply loved by his stepfather, Jared Weyers of Lincoln, NE; his stepmother, Bridget Meyer; and his honorary stepmother, Lisa Featherstone of Hastings, NE. A devoted brother, Ryan is survived by his siblings: Evan Herrold, Hope Wilson, Gabriella Enck-Herrold, Emma Weyers, Jase Herrold, and Lyla Weyers; his stepbrother, Colton Meyer; and his honorary stepbrothers, Liam and Laken Bohlen.

Ryan was known for his gentle soul, selfless heart, and his unwavering ability to make others feel seen and never alone. He loved playing baseball, immersing himself in video games, and sharing quiet moments with the people he cared about. Whether on the field or behind a controller, Ryan brought joy, laughter, and connection to those around him.He was the kind of person who gave without hesitation, listened without judgment, and loved without condition. His absence leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. Ryan is deeply missed and will be forever remembered—for the way he cared, the light he brought, and the love he gave so freely.

A private family visitation for Ryan will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00–5:00 p.m., with a public visitation to follow from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
