Sallie Holliday

Hastings resident, Sallie J. Holliday, 54, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at Mary Lanning HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska after a long battle with cancer.

Rosary will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Christian Burial Rite will be Thursday, August 2, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.

Sallie was born November 4, 1957 in Hastings, Nebraska to Harold & June (Karsting) Dahlheim. She graduated from Hastings High School. Sallie owned and operated East Side Pet Grooming and attended St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. In honor of Sallie, her family asks those attending the services to please wear a touch of purple, as this was Sallie's favorite color.

Sallie was preceded in death by her father, Harold; brother, Jerry Dahlheim; grandmother, Dorothy Karsting "Grandma DoeDoe"; and close friend, Liz Halloran.
