Sally Whitcomb

Hastings resident, Sally A. Whitcomb, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska after a battle with brain cancer.

Services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012 with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Children's Ark at Good Samaritan Village.

Sally was born July 13, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska to Ted & Margaret (Spielman) Ochsner. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Kearney State College. Sally married Donald Whitcomb on December 9, 1965. She worked for Good Samaritan Village as an executive secretary and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, BPO Does, PEO Chapter GZ, Eastern Star, and birthday club with her best girlfriends. Sally's greatest joy of life was spending time with her family and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Ochsner; and infant son, Jeffery Whitcomb.
