Sharon Barton

Sharon L. Barton, 65, of 1119 Highland Dr., Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, January 19, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Thursday, January 22, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Barton was born May 28, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Howard & Lois F. (Russnogle) Richardson. At an early age she moved with her family to Minden, Nebraska. She graduated from Minden High School in 1956. In 1960, she graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in Elementary Education and moved to Hastings, Nebraska. She taught fifth grade at Hawthorne Elementary School in Hastings for one year. On November 18, 1961, she married Wendell E. Starr in Minden, Nebraska. Later they divorced. On April 29, 1984, she married Carl F. Barton in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and worked for K-Mart for 20 years. She was a member of North Shore Assembly of God Church and a past member of Christian Women's Club.

Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her parents.
