Sharon Ann Blum

Hastings resident Sharon Ann Blum, 65, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, after a battle of cancer, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE. 

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 22, at Butler Volland Chapel with Father David Bourek officiating. The burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s or The Grace Foundation. 

Sharon was born October 19, 1959, to Ervin & Irene (Utecht) Halbmaier in Hastings, Nebraska. She graduated from Roseland High School in 1978 and graduated from McCook College in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. Sharon married the love of her life, Terry Blum, on April 16, 1983. They were married for 41 years. She worked for Mode O'Day Clothing Factory in Hastings for a year. Sharon went on to work at the Regional Center for 27 years and Mary Lanning Healthcare for 16 years. Sharon enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She loved sewing and crafting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Kelsey Nicole Blum.
