June 18, 1942 — August 26, 2009

Hastings resident, Sharon K. Dixon, 67, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her residence, 1605 West 9th Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, August 29, 2009; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2009; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Friday, August 28, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Hospice.

Sharon was born June 18, 1942 to Albert & Phyllis (Smith) McKnight in Callaway, Nebraska. She attended grade school in Gothenburg, NE and high school in North Platte, NE. She married Raymond Smith September 1960 in Crawford, NE. She then married Dale Dixon in March 1981 in Grand Island, NE. He preceded her in death September 21, 2001. She worked for Caring Hands and Avon.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; and grandson, Quint Scripter.
