Hastings resident, Sharon Rose Goehring, 81, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Alegent Creighton Health/Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.
Requiem Eucharist will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014; 11:00 A.M. at Saint Marks Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Hastings, Nebraska with The Very Rev. Dean Catherine F. Scott officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2014; 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Monday, July 28, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or SASA. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.
Sharon was born in Kimball, Nebraska on January 25, 1933 to Guy & Inez (Norwood) Knox. She married Richard M. Goehring II on May 2, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2004
.
She was an Executive Administrative Assistant at Good Samaritan Village and a homemaker. Sharon was a member of Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Laureate Alpha Epsilon Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi and a past member of the SASA board in Hastings. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Sharon Rose Goehring was preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard Goehring II; granddaughter, Sarah Uhrmacher; brothers, Pete Knox and Dale Knox; and sister, JoAnne Alemanni.
