Shirley Leamy

Hastings resident, Shirley Leamy, 77, 509 N. California, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at her home.

Rosary service will be Tuesday, June 28, 2005; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 29, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Private family interment at a later date in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Leamy was born June 30, 1927 in Coleridge, Nebraska to A. Bernard & Flora M. (Kressig) Hassmann. She graduated from Coleridge High School in 1944 and attended Omaha School of Business. On June 16, 1947, she married Thomas W. Leamy and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1970. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Hastings Catholic Schools, St. Michael's Catholic Church and Hastings Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She enjoyed country music, cats and crocheting.

Mrs. Leamy was preceded in death by her father, husband Thomas W. Leamy and a sister Marva Miller.
