Shirley McLane

Hastings resident, Shirley Ann McLane, 79, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Granbury, Texas.

Services will be Friday, August 26, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2016; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or family's choice to be decided at a later date.

Shirley was born September 2, 1936 to Fred Sr. & Gladys Rutt in Hastings, Nebraska. She graduated from Hastings High School and University of Nebraska. On October 24, 1959 she married Gerald Donovan McLane, and were blessed with two children, Lori and Scott, 4 granddaughters, and a great granddaughter. She was a registered nurse at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and coordinator of the Red Cross Bloodmobile for numerous years. In addition, she was co-owner of McLane Jewelry.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Dr. Fred Rutt Jr. and Donald L. Rutt.
