Shirley Price

Hastings resident, Shirley Jean Price, 83, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Celebration of Life will be Thursday, April 26, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.

Shirley was born January 6, 1929 to Andrew & Letha Patterson in Clark, South Dakota. She moved to Hastings in 1942 where her father worked at the ammunition depot. Shirley graduated from Hastings High School in 1948 and started working at Mode O'Day until the plant closed. She married Ron Price in June of 1961 and they moved to Juniata. Shirley continued her work out at the Hastings Regional Center cafeteria until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Richard Patterson.
