Sophia Hudson

Sophia Marie (Saathoff) Hudson of Lincoln, Nebraska, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at The Ambassador Nursing Home, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2007; 3:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Adam White officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Family will direct memorials.

Ms. Hudson was born July 16, 1912 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Behrend B. & Tina S. (Ackerman) Saathoff. She lived on the farm in Glenvil until 1940. She lived in Washington D.C. in 1942 and in 1943, went to work for the United States Corp of Engineers Northwest Division in Edmonton Alberta Canada. In 1945, she worked on the Manhattan project in Los Angeles, California. On October 29, 1950, she married and was later divorced. In 1955, she moved to Inglewood, California.

Ms. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Esther Catherine Saathoff and one brother, Carl Henry Saathofff.
