Stephen Disney

Hastings resident, Stephen E. Disney, 56, of 1114 Waynoka, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at his home.

Services will be Saturday, September 17, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Burial with military rites by Nebraska National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team will be in Red Cloud Cemetery, Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Mr. Disney was born August 14, 1949 in Nelson, Nebraska to Anna (Stichka) Disney. He graduated from Nelson High School in 1967 and attended Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska. He was in the United States Army from 1969 to 1975, serving in Vietnam and was a military policeman in Colorado while in the service. He married Gayla E. Minnick in Riverton, Nebraska on June 1, 1974. He worked at Western Land Roller-Ingersoll Rand now Flowserve for 38 years and was a Materials Manager. He was a member of the Elks and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, basketball, softball, tennis, bowling, football and horseshoes. He coached soccer, little league baseball & basketball.

Mr. Disney was preceded in death by in death by his parents.
