Steven Jensen

Juniata resident, Steven Richard Jensen, 53, of 1101 N. Brass, died Monday, May 17, 2004 in a traffic accident in Hall County, Nebraska.

Requiem Eucharist will be Friday, May 21, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, 422 North Burlington, Hastings, Nebraska, with The Very Rev. Richard J. Martindale officiating. Committal will be in the All Souls Chapel at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral. There will be no visitation or viewing. Mr. Jensen was cremated. Book signing Thursday, May 20, 2004; 9am-5pm.

Mr. Jensen was born June 1, 1950 in Minden, Nebraska to Richard H. & Mary E. (Bang) Jensen. He graduated from Minden High School and attended Kearney State College and Hastings College. He served in the United States Navy. He married Kathy K. Moore, January 2, 1982 in Seward, Nebraska. He was program manager at St. Francis Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center, Grand Island, Nebraska. He also worked at the Hastings Regional Center. He was on the Juniata School Board, 1996-2000; Adams Central School Board, 2000 to the present; adjunct professor at Central Community College at Grand Island, Nebraska; State of Nebraska Certification Advisory Board for Chemical Dependency Counselors and Counselor Evaluator for State of Nebraska. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral; served on Vestry and currently Eucharistic Minister/Acolyte Father. He was also a member of Southern Hills Golf Course. His hobbies included photography; golf and attending Adams Central School activities.

Mr. Jensen was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Lynn Jensen.
