Steven Theis

Hastings resident, Steven J. Theis, 62, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015; 9:30 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Steven was born September 21, 1952 in Camp Polk, Louisiana to Donald R. & Jeanne M. (Kost) Theis. He graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1970 and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict from 1971-73. Steven and Pamela Kissell were life partners for 27 years before she passed away in November 2014. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad on the track department until his retirement.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Theis; brother, Joseph R. Theis; and brother-in-law, Chris Adams.
