Suzanne Farris

Hastings resident, Suzanne R. Farris, 62, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home.

Memorial services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Hastings, Nebraska with The Rev. Catherine F. Scott officiating. Private family interment will be in Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral Columbarium, Hastings. There will be no visitation; book signing will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday, September 26, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Suzanne (Knight) Farris Memorial Fund.

Suzanne was born December 16, 1949 in Fremont, Nebraska to Robert & Jacqueline (Lamberty) Knight. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1968 and attended Kearney State College. Suzanne married James Farris on September 6, 1969 at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral in Hastings. She worked as a court reporter at Nebraska Reporters Service and was past Vice President of Farris Construction. Suzanne was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, PEO Chapter GK, Alpha Phi Sorority, Vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Education for Ministry, and she belonged to many prayer groups.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her father.
