Suzanne Landale

Suzanne Therese Landale, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, at her home in Aurora, Colorado.

Mrs. Landale was born and grew up on a farm near Upland, NE.She was the daughter of Hector Chevalier and Lucille Benjamin Chevalier of Hastings.

She moved far away, living with her family in several states, as well as near London, England; but she remained a Nebraskan at heart. She asked to be laid to rest in Hastings, to be near several family members.

Mrs. Landale was active in the church, schools and community. She was an early volunteer and supporter of hospice care in Williamsport, PA.

Mrs. Landale lived independently until her death and gave endlessly to others. She remained captain of her own ship until the end.

She is survived by eight of her ten children, Edwin, Carol, Nora, Louis, James, Marjorie, Katherine, and Stephen; her sister, Janice Belkora; and sixteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, David and Raymond; and seven siblings: Eugene, Rene, Paul, Claire, Francis, Winifred, and Arthur.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Cecilia's Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 29, at 10 A.M. with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Suzanne will be laid to rest afterwards at Parkview Cemetery. A reception will be held after the burial. Memorials may be given to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.
