Tammy A. Conover

Hastings resident Tammy A. Conover, 54, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE surrounded by love.

Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Glenvil American Legion, 205 Winters Avenue, Glenvil with a potluck gathering to follow. Private family burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Tammy was born on July 25. 1970, in Superior NE to Susan (Hummel) and Ronnie Ekstein. On October 7, 1989, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Conover Sr. Tammy worked as a night stocker at Walmart for many years until she retired due to her health. She enjoyed spending time with her family, family BBQ’s, days at the lake, playing cards, and watching her grandchildren grow.

Tammy was preceded in death by her husband Kenny; father, Ronnie Ekstein; and step-father, Dick Borrell. 

She is survived by her children, Ken Jr. (Pam Hayes) Conover, Michael (Kady Ellingsen) Conover, and Tamara Conover; mother, Susan Ekstein; 14 grandchildren; brother, David (Missy) Ekstein; sister, Tigger Ekstein; sisters-in-law, Theresa Reid (Bill Young) and Cheryl Knickerbocker; and many nieces and nephews.
