Theresa Adler

Hastings resident, Theresa M. Adler, 71, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, at her home.

Rosary will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, October 26, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Stephen Graeve officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017; 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home.

Theresa was born December 27, 1945, in McCook, Nebraska to Carl & Anna (Kometscher) Brahler. She graduated from Red Willow County High School in 1963 and later took classes at Mid Plains Community College in McCook, Nebraska. Theresa married Edward "Ed" Adler on August 10, 1968, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings; he preceded her in death on July 2, 2015.

Theresa was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager for Jacobi's Carpet until her retirement in 2016. Prior to her retirement, Theresa also served as bookkeeper and office manager at Gibson's in Hastings for many years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Altar Society and enjoyed weekly dinners and social gatherings with her incredible circle of friends. Theresa had the biggest heart you could imagine and was an example of unconditional love, caring, and empathy. Theresa loved family gatherings, weekends at the lake, and recent trips to New York City, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Theresa was so proud of her kids and grandkids and adored and cherished them deeply. Since the passing of Ed, Theresa was blessed to share her home with niece Kathy Duntz and puppy Bella.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward "Ed" Adler; grandson, Reid Adler; sister, Caroline Duntz, and brother-in-law, Roger Adler.
