Thomas Kober

Hastings resident, Thomas M. 'Tom' Kober, 51, of 317 East 12th Street, died Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Thursday, March 27, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church or Hastings Catholic Schools Trust. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2008; 5PM-9PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008; 9AM-9PM at the funeral home & Thursday, March 27, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Mr. Kober was born April 23, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska to Richard C. Jr. & Gertrude M. (Hemberger) Kober. He graduated from St. Cecilia's Catholic High School in 1974. On October 9, 1981, he married Cindy J. Pendergast and they were blessed with two children, Theresa and Ben. He worked at Consolidated Motor Freight, Maverick Media, Cornhusker Press, Protex Central Inc. and was currently the office manager at M & S Builders Inc. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. Tom entered into eternal rest on Easter Sunday to be with our Lord & Savior.

Mr. Kober was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon in 1974 and a brother-in-law, Terry Salisbury in 2007.
