Velda Wolff

Hastings resident, Velda M. Wolff, 95, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Family graveside services will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 10:30 A.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert. There will be no visitation. Book signing is from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice.

Velda was born July 31, 1917 in Sutherland, Nebraska to Rance and Lillian (Pierson) Humphrey. She grew up and graduated there. She married John Francis Parr and moved to Superior in 1937. Mr. Parr died in 1941. She then married Manfred C. Wolff in 1942 and moved to Hastings in 1952, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She entered Homestead Assisted Living in 2007 where she resided until her death. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and her family.

Velda was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, John F. Parr, husband, Manfred C. Wolff, and a brother, Melvin Humphrey.
