Former Hastings resident, Velma B. Bienhoff, 79, of Kenesaw Haven Home, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Haven Home.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 19, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd with Pastor John Lee Ross officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska at a later date.
Velma B. Bienhoff was born August 14, 1923 in Topaz, Missouri, to Edward James & Edna Pearl (Sloan) Hines. She graduated from Cabool High School, Cabool, Missouri. She married Orville Bienhoff on October 7, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2000. She moved from Macon, Nebraska to Hastings in July of 1961. She was a nurses aide at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd and a past volunteer at Good Samaritan Village and the Hastings Police Department where she received the Hastings Police Department Senior Volunteer Award on November 23, 1996.
Velma B. Bienhoff was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville, 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
