Vern Kottwitz

Hastings resident, Vern C. Kottwitz, 76, of 1114 Circle 'L', Good Samaritan Village, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, March 29, 2006; 10: 00 A.M. at Good Samaritan Village All Saints Chapel with Rev. Neil Vik officiating. Private burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Kottwitz was born September 2, 1929 in blue Hill, Nebraska to Julius W. & Bertha (Tjarks) Kottwitz. He graduated from Hastings High School and entered into the Army where he served his duty in Japan during the Korean War. He married Roberta 'Bobbie' Kerr on November 19, 1950 in Hastings. He worked for Weyerhaeuser Company, Thermal King and the City of Hastings. He was a member of F.O.E. 592.

Mr. Kottwitz was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale Kottwitz.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Good Samaritan Village All Saints Chapel or First Congregational Church UCC or Emphysema Foundation

No visitation the remains were cremated.
