Verna Heltenberg

Verna L. Heltenberg, 80, of 8530 S. Elkhorn Ave., Roseland, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, November 29, 2002; 10:30 A.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Hirsch officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, both in Hastings, Nebraska.

Verna L. Heltenberg was born December 11, 1921 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to Louie & Anna (Mulheisen) Krueger. She graduated from Blue Hill High School and attended the Normal Training Program for teachers. She taught school for a few years. She married Marvin Heltenberg in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1986. She worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot during WWII and then as a Psych tech at the Hastings Regional Center for 31 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Verna L. Heltenberg was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin, sister, Pauline, an infant brother and a great grandson.
