Hastings resident, Veronica M. Cuba, 92, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 16, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2010; 5 P.M. - 9 P.M.; Tuesday, June 15, 2010; 9 A.M. - 9 P.M., with family present from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the family and a memorial will be established later.
Veronica was born January 13, 1918, in Fullerton, Nebraska to Frank & Anna (Koziol) Ksiazek. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1935. On April 8, 1947 she married Isadore Cuba Sr. in Fullerton, Nebraska and he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Isadore, three sisters, Caroline Ksiazek, Frances Prososki, Cecilia Mc Nallan, and one grandchild, John Larsen.
