Vicky Levander

Hastings resident, Vicky L. Levander, 61, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, March 14, 2014; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tony Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014; 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Vicky was born October 30, 1952 in Hastings, Nebraska to Harlan "Bud" & Neva E. (Gerloff) Walker. She graduated from Bellevue College with a degree in Human Services. Vicky married Gerald "Jerry" Levander on June 18, 1982 in Hastings. She worked at Armour, in food service at various establishments, occasionally at the Ok Café and was a homemaker. Vicky was a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered at CASA and SASA. Vicky's favorite pastimes were Nebraska Football, always soaring her red, and sister's night out. Her joys of visiting and her caring nature was a special quality that Vicky possessed. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. Vicky was loved by many and will be missed by all, especially her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Cronk; sister, Penny Walker Threats; niece, Angie Jacoby; nephew, Vance Croon; and brother-in-law, Fred Arntt.
