Viola Edgerton

Hastings resident, Viola L. Edgerton, 91, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, March 19, 2010; 1:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2010; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Viola was born November 29, 1918 in Hastings, Nebraska to Martin G. & Elizabeth (Stamer) Goldenstein. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1937. On October 5, 1938, she married Owen Travis Edgerton in Hastings, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1977. She worked for the Hastings Regional Center where she later retired. She was a member of the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Owen T. Edgerton; sister, Lois Brown; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Edgerton; grandson, James Bush; and infant granddaughter, Debora Lynn Bush.
